“To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” – Ephesians 3:21
The root word for ‘glory’ is doxa, which means importance, weight and significance. Why should we give God the glory? It is because of who He is and for what He has done.
Apostle Paul is exhorting the church at Ephesus to shift their focus to the love of Christ. Love is one of the greatest gifts of God. We cannot fully comprehend His love for us. The only way to understand His love is by shifting our focus to the cross – which is the ultimate symbol of love! God gave His all for us, out of love, while we were still sinners (Rom. 5:8).
This morning as we prepare our hearts to worship God, let’s reflect upon the love of Christ, which is unconditional. The more we are led by the Holy Spirit to understand God’s love, the more we will prostrate at His feet in worship.
