“Fulfill my joy, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind” – Philippians 2:2
Apostle Paul is exhorting the church at Philippi which is facing a possible division in the church family due to selfishness and pride. In order to deal with these issues, Paul is encouraging the believers at Philippi to turn their attention towards Christ, who is the greatest example of selfless love and humility.
The love of Jesus is the most unique form of love. It is an Agape love – which can be defined as, having an unselfish concern for another and a willingness to seek the best for another. Jesus broke the wall of division which separated the Jews and Gentiles and made us all one in His body which was crucified on the cross!
So, in these days where there are many divisions within churches and the world, let us be united and make a commitment to be like Christ and reflect the love of Christ!
