“Who is like the LORD our God, who dwells on high” – Psalm 113:5
Psalm 113 starts and ends with: “Praise the Lord”. Thanking and praising God for what he has done in our lives and offering heartfelt gratitude is very important. Praising God gives us the proper perspective that we can do little without His guidance and help.
Why do we praise the Lord? We praise Him because there is no one like our God:
– who can save us from our sins?
– who is enthroned on high and sovereign?
– who can heal any disease?
– who can mend broken hearts and broken relationships?
– who can make a way where there seems to be no way?
– who can work wonders?
– who can restore and comfort?
– who can do the impossible?
…and the list goes on!
“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” – Psalm 107:8
