“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” – Jeremiah 33:3
Israel was under Babylonian captivity because of their sin and rebellion against God. Prophet Jeremiah was in prison when God spoke to him. God commanded Jeremiah to pray so that He would reveal the great and mighty things that He has in store for them that included the plan of restoration and rebuilding of Israel.
One of the most essential elements for an effective prayer is to have a God given burden. Prayer is a circle which begins with God and ends with God. God places a burden in our heart through the Holy Spirit and when we pray back to Him in accordance to His will, the circle is complete. God will certainly answer any prayer that is prayed in accordance to His will.
“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us” – 1 John 5:14
