For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 6:23
No one is perfect. All have sinned. In today’s verse, Apostle Paul states that the wages that we deserve for all our sins is death, which no one can escape. “But”, Lord Jesus Christ made the payment for our sins, he died on our behalf. And God raised Him from the dead by the power of resurrection and is alive forevermore.
When we confess our sins and by faith believe in Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us, receive Him as our personal Savior, and baptize into His death, our sins will be buried in His death and by the same power of resurrection, we will also walk in the newness of life. We will receive the gift of eternal life, through Salvation in Christ Jesus our Lord.
May the Lord help us not take this gift of eternal life for granted and continue to be servants of sin, but choose to repent, confess, and believe in Lord Jesus Christ, that we might serve God in righteousness and holiness.
