The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Who Else God but You?

Whom have I in heaven but You? and there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. Psalm. 73:25

The question in the verse in today’s world seems to be beyond our reach as most of us are caught up in the middle of the greater busyness of social media and worldly pleasures. Only a redeemed and contrite heart can utter “Who else God but You?”. In this Psalm, Psalmist moves from unwelcome, unprepared, disappointing, and agonizing circumstances to a radical shift in responding to the circumstances rather than reacting, which led him to be agnostic to circumstances and ultimately resulted in enlightened worship with confidence. The psalm concludes with a confirmation of faith in the Lord and God being matchless to anything the world can ever offer. Not only can believers trust in God’s plan during the earthly journey, but they can also look forward to eternity in His presence. On the other hand, those who reject Him, face destruction. Of all gifts God has given us, Jesus is the only perfect gift.

May God help us to reach the standard of Apostle Paul where he says, ‘For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain’ (Philippians 1:21). May Lord Jesus Christ be our deepest desire and all-sufficiency.
