The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

The Chiefest among Ten Thousand!

My beloved is white and ruddy, chief among then thousand. Song of Solomon 5:10

Here daughters of Jerusalem ask Shulamite The bride (representing The Church) about her Bridegroom Solomon(representing Jesus Christ), “What is your beloved More than another beloved, O fairest among women? What is your beloved More than another beloved, That you so charge us?” When we love Jesus more than all, similar questions will be asked to us by the world. The answer will be in our verse for today. He is white and ruddy.

In the Bible, White color represents holiness and purity. In this world no one is holy except Lord Jesus Christ, in Him there is no sin, in birth He is sinless, throughout His life He is sinless, many great clouds of witnesses have testified that Jesus is without sin, right from God the Father, disciples, Pilate, centurion and many other, Jesus Himself challenged ‘Which of you convicts Me of sin?’ He is quite different from all. He is White and altogether lovely, that is why He won the hearts of countless people, even after 2000 years of His death, burial, and resurrection, He is still winning the hearts of many in many countries, in all backgrounds. Has the world ever produced His equal? Have any ever equaled Him in wisdom, or in deeds of kindness, or in love for the lost? No, never! Indeed He is “The Chiefest Among Ten Thousand”, yes, the chiefest in all the world and in all ages. Holy God shed His precious blood for our sins, thus this Holy God who is white became ruddy, ruddy means red in color like blood. He was like a rose trampled on the ground for us.

Let us bow to our bridegroom Lord Jesus Christ who is “Chiefest Among Ten Thousand” and call upon our souls and all that is within us to magnify His name. Amen.
