The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

God is good all the time

Psalm 23:6 Surely your goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Psalm 23:4–6 shifts in mood from the tranquility portrayed in verses 1–3. It is a somber passage, but carries the assurance that the Lord protects His sheep and fills their days with His blessings. This passage differs from the first three verses by addressing the Lord, David’s shepherd, directly. In verses 1–3 David talks about the Lord, but in verses 4–6 he talks to the Lord.
When David was driven into the wilderness by his son’s rebellion, he found himself out in the desert, hungry and weary, his army in disarray. As recorded in 2 Samuel 17, three men who were not even Israelites, Shobi, Machir, and Barzillai brought bedding and bowls and articles of pottery. They also brought food (wheat and barley, flour etc.) for David and his people to eat.
David saw in this, that God, as a gracious host, was preparing a table before him in the presence of his enemies.
David in the midst of all his hardship, realizes Gods goodness and mercy shall follow him. We to may face hardships and while we do not know the outcome of any given situation, we know that God is good and for His children, all things work for the *ultimate good*. Hard to comprehend, but we can state that with the eyes of FAITH.
Lastly, David talks about the time he will dwell int he house of the lord. In John 14:3 & Revelation 7:16–17 , it says we ill live with him and worship him where there will be no tears, and no sin and so on. Just Praise and worship. What a wonderful time it will be. I cannot imagine, the peace & joy with our savior.
So let us worship out Lords goodness & look forward to our heavenly abode, while we may face a few afflictions as a sojourner here.
