Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. Lam. 3:22
Jeremiah declared this wonderful truth when his hope was revived during his distress. He remembered the LORD's loving kindness and tender mercies as he looked away from himself and focused on the goodness of God.
When circumstances appear to contradict our expectations, we murmur and start to question God. But only when we turn away from our own thoughts and disappointments and seek God's purpose and plan, we will recognize that His mercies never come to an end because the steadfast love of the LORD will remain with us forever!
