I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep – 1 John 10:11
The devil comes to steel, kill and destroy but our good shepherd (Jesus) showed his Agape love by laying down his life. God could have taken alternate routes (easy way) to restore people, but we need to know kingdom principles to understand the ways of God. God gave Adam dominion over all the earth. However, Adam gave his authority to Satan by eating the fruit from the tree of life which God said not to eat.
In order to restore the authority from Satan and give back to mankind He came in the form of a human being and gave his life. Blood represents life and He gave it to restore everything that the devil has stolen. We read in scripture the blood of Abel speaks. But our chief shepherd (Jesus) blood speaks much better than that on our behalf.
Our chief shepherd gave his life willingly not grudgingly that we may have a life of Abundance. It is written in Ezekial 34:1 – Behold I myself will search for my flock and seek them out.
Prayer: Father God, I was like sheep going astray, thank you for seeking and restoring me by laying down your life. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
