The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, the Rock of my salvation – 2 Sam 22:47
The above verse is a song of deliverance by David the psalmist. David was surrounded by enemies all around. He sung this song of praise when the Lord delivered him from all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. Three times Saul tried to Assassinate David and all the time David would escape narrowly. He knew his life was spared not by luck (law of time and chance) but God protected him.
David knew that his redeemer lives, and He is the rock of his life, and He is the defender of his life. Like David, every believer in Christ will know that it is the hand of God that brought them thus far. Our dependency is on God, and we trust in His name alone. He is the Lord of our lives and because of Him we exist.
If you look back in your life, you will know it was the hand of God that protected you from that accident, sickness (doctors gave up) and Covid which killed millions of people. We are alive today because the Rock (Jesus) who protected David, His hand is upon our life. So let us join with Psalmist and praise the rock of our salvation.
Prayer: Father God, you are the rock of our life, and we exist because of you and exalt you for saving us and granting thy salvation. In Jesus name, I pray – Amen!!!
