And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved – Acts 2:21
Whatever is the state of a person (Liar, Thief, Murderer etc.) the hand of God is stretched forth to save them. We read in Luke Gospel that two criminals were executed along with Christ. One criminal hurled insult at Him and the other confessed his sin. Jesus affirmed that he will be with him in paradise.
Even the chief of sinners will/can be saved by the Lord. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost – 1 Timothy 1:15. The person who cannot be saved by the Lord is the one who is self-righteous.
We read in Luke Gospel, as Jesus approached Jericho a blindman was sitting by the roadside begging; He called out “Jesus, son of David have mercy on me!” Those who led the way rebuked him and asked him to be quiet, but he cried out louder. Anyone, who haven't accepted Christ and still contemplating, call out the name of the Lord like the blind man so that you and your household will be saved.
Prayer: Father God, remember us and every member of our family and friends who are not saved, Have mercy on us. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
