Proverbs 16:3 “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”
This is the best lesson my mother ever taught me. “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” The promise that brings spiritual and physical blessings. This attitude and behavior will help us unlock all that our creator has stored for us. If you have played any computer games, you probably know very well that all games have levels, and every level has some hidden reward that you discover when you truly master how to overcome the challenge. And the way we can overcome that challenge is by putting our focus on it. Life is long, and every moment brings a new challenge that has some reward, but unless we are focused on our purpose for our existence in this game, we cannot discover a way to master that challenge and receive the reward that our creator has put for us. My mother taught me that the wisdom of the world is foolishness to God, but the wisdom of God is life and health to those that obey Him, and if only we could take this simple instruction to heart and carry it out to completion, we would be walking in the way of the Lord and living in spirit and truth.
We all are called to commit our works and activities unto the creator, but often we struggle trying to carry out the works that He has prepared for us to do because we try to do it by our strength and understanding, not in the power of the Holy Spirit.
If we like to master the game of life, we must have the right understanding of the creator of this (life game). And the only way to master it is to set our focus on Him, think and act like Him, and the next thing we will know is that no matter how complex the challenge is, we will be able to pass this and be able to open the reward hidden inside that challenge.
God will never carry out His plans and purposes in the strength of the old “me.” God has purposed to carry out the works and activities of my life through my new life in Christ – my new, born-again nature.
Let’s start our new life with a new attitude and new way of handling and responding to the challenges life throws at us. Let us submit all our work to Him and let Him lead us through His Holy Spirit to handle anything and everything by His will according to His ways.
Promise: “the wisdom of the world is foolishness to God, but the wisdom of God is life and health to those that obey Him.”
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father, mighty wonderful God. Lord, today I commit all my works and activities to You. Please work through me so that Your plan for my life will reach its full fruition, to Your praise and glory, Lord help me to submit all my work unto You, so Your name be glorified in and through me, and many will receive the blessings from the work of my hands You put for me. In Jesus’s Holy Name, I pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
