The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Praise the Lord

Psalms 103:1 ”Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.”
Why praise God above all and before all. Look at the verbs all connected to God in these opening verses of this Psalm – God forgives, heals, redeems, crowns, satisfies, renews, and the list continues.
When we receive something, even small comforting words, we say thanks to others, and when someone forgives our one simple mistake we praise him/her and that person wins our heart and we would like to do something greater for them. When someone takes care of us while we suffer from our sickness and we feel comforted and after receiving our healthy life we would like to bless them. But often and almost every day, or I would say every moment we live we are blessed to receive many things but we take 99% of these everyday blessings we received from God as granted. We are like the 9 lepers who received the healing but immediately forgot to give thanks to the one who served them greatly. We get too busy in our lives and forget to return and praise Him from our true hearts. We say (Praise the Lord) from our lips but do not realize the truth in our hearts for all what He continues to bless us with. Let’s not delay praising Him anymore. Let’s not be taken for granted any moment He allowed in our life to breathe and go out without praising Him. Let’s praise Him now and acknowledge all His good work in our lives and start bringing praises to Him for all what He is blessing us with.
Don’t wait just realize as you read this devotional that you are blessed, because you can see, comprehend, and understand the words and reflect upon them. Let’s not take anything for granted and feel what’s inside of our hearts and bring hearts filled with praises to Him who works 24/7 to bless us with all new things all our day we live. Let’s fill our lives with His praises who never get tired to bless us with everything we need.
Promise: “I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. My enemies retreated; they staggered and died when you appeared.”
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father mighty wonderful God. Lord, we are loved, to know we are forgiven, to know you are working healing in us, to know that you rescue us from the Pit of our brokenness – for all of this, we thank you, God. Plant firmly in our minds today the benefits, the blessings, that you work in our lives each day. May our body, spirit, and souls bring praises to You O’Lord for all You have and still doing in our lives. In Jesus’s Holy Name, We pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
