Psalms 66:8 – Oh, bless our God, you peoples! and make the voice of His praise to be heard.
Here the Psalmist is saying to make joyful noise unto the Lord. His mighty hand delivered the people of God from the hands of the oppressing nation. Surely the Lord preserved the lives of the Israelites. They were only 70 people when they moved from Canaan to Egypt. It is in their enemies camp they multiplied. From there, He led them to the place of abundance.
Like Psalmist we can too make a joyful noise because He pulled us from darkness to marvellous light. As a believer our duty is to make people know the sound of His praise. Scripture says to make His name known to all people because He is the creator of all flesh. His desire is not one soul to perish.
The famous evangelist and pastor Bakht Singh came to Christ through his friends John and Edith Hayward. During every supper they praised God for His provision and their humbleness brought Bakht Singh to Christ. Praise is not only about making noise, it is more about thankfulness to God. May God help all of us to be a witness for Him.
Prayer: Father God, Help us to enter your courts with thanksgiving and praises in our mouth. In Jesus name I pray – Amen !!!
