No one is holy like the Lord,
For there is none besides You,
Nor is there any rock like our God
1 Samuel 2:2
In 1 Samuel 1:10, we see Hannah coming into the temple of God, praying in anguish and weeping bitterly. In verse 1 Samuel 1:19, despite her situation, we see her worshipping the Lord. Next verse, LORD remembered her and granted her wish, Samuel.
She returns to the temple, dedicates her son Samuel, and offers a beautiful song of praise. Today’s verse is one of her lines in that song, her declaration to the world.
No one is holy like the Lord, for there is none besides You, nor is there any rock like our God.
In Hannah’s life, situations changed, but worship remained constant. She worshipped God in her sadness; She worshipped God in her joyful moments; she never stopped worshipping the Holy God.
God is looking for true worshippers like Hannah. This Resurrection Sunday, May He find one in you and me…whatever our situation might be, let us gather in His temple and worship Our Holy God in spirit and in truth.
Amen.
