I will praise the name of God with a song,
And will magnify Him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30
In Psalm 69, we see David in trials and troubles. Verse 1 through 29 is David’s urgent plea for Help. Starting from Verse 30, He shifts focus and starts to Praise and Worship God.
In Today’s verse, Amid the trials, David chooses to magnify God. How can anyone do that?
James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you…”
The closer we come to God, the more God will reveal Himself to us. The more God is revealed to us; the more God will be magnified to us. The more God is magnified to us, His Grace, His Glory, His Greatness, and His presence will spill over all the areas of our lives. Automatically, Prayers turn to Praise; Worries turn to Worship.
The more God is magnified to us, the more you and I can magnify Him through our daily lives. The more you and I magnify Him through our daily lives, the more you and I can be witnesses of Him to others.
Starting tomorrow, as the season of Hope begins, let us draw even closer to God by magnifying Him irrespective of our situations and utilize the perfect opportunity for us to be witnesses of Jesus Christ.
Amen!
