I call upon the LORD

I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. Ps. 18:3

911 is a universal emergency number in the USA, which is familiar to all of us. When there is an emergency, we need to call 911 so that within 5-10 mins, help is on our way to rescue us. Over 9000 call centers and 100,000 dispatchers are ready to help us. However, the success rate is not always 100%.

Today’s verse talks about David’s call to the Lord. “I call upon the LORD… I am saved from my enemies”. Earthly 911 has limited resources and dispatchers. However, heavenly 911 has unlimited resources and dispatches. Ps. 91:11 talks about “God shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.” Whatever the problem we are in, with faith, if you call the LORD, He is available 24×7 and takes care of us all the times.

I will love You, O Lord, my strength.
He is our The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold
(Psalm 18:1-2)
