While scrolling through my socials, I saw a video that caught my attention.
While playing, this Lil cub lost his way home and ended up in a den full of hyenas. While hyenas are walking towards this cub to tear it to pieces, the Lil cub starts to roar… hyenas giggle…and continue to walk towards the cub. All of a sudden, at the exact second when Lil cub roars, we hear a thunderous roar, and all the hyenas fear for their lives and start running like crazy. Then slowly camera pans out, and stands tall is the Lil cub’s father, a gigantic Lion roaring thunderously.
Sometimes when the trials and tribulations of this world overwhelm us, like the Lil Cub in the story, we also feel alone, dejected, and helpless. Through today’s verse, God is reminding us that we are not alone; we don’t have to fight our battles alone, we don’t have to walk in that road alone… because we also have a father, the Holy Spirit God, indwelling in us, roaring like a lion.
Believers take courage; it might look for a moment that the enemy has the upper hand over us…Just remember, the ultimate victory is ours in Christ because Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Amen.
