The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Trust and rejoice

But I have trusted in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. Ps. 13:5

Some cars have the bumper sticker “Honk if anything falls off.” A car has many parts; every part is knitted together with nuts and bolts. After usage for several years, parts may be broken, or nuts/bolts become loose, and they may fall apart. Even if you consider the adult human body has 206 bones, 650 muscles, and 78 organs on average. Everything needs to be knit together to keep it running, and it is very fragile. It may fall apart if it isn’t knitted together properly.

Thankfully, God is knitting our body parts together.

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb” Psalm 139:13

Even when something is broken, our God is the one who binds up together.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

Even when enemies rise, and situations are against you, remember that God is knitting everything together to make it good.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Rom 8:28

“Trust” and “rejoice” are two words we can remember today. “I have trusted” and “my heart shall rejoice” because God is in control and ready to knit together if something is broken in you.
