The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Far above all

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Eph. 3:20

“Far above all” is repeated at least in two contexts. The first one is that the vastness of God’s “far above all” power worked in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places (1:20). Now we can observe that the power of God raised Jesus “far above all” principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come and He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church (1:21-23)

Now, Paul is sharing the wonderful truth that this “far above all” power is available to us. God is able to do all—above all—abundantly above all—exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. His power is a continuous flow toward us.

Unfortunately, this power is unavailable to us because of two things. 1) we do not ask – you did not get because you did not ask (James 4:2) 2) Also because of Unbelief, unconfessed sin, careless living, worldliness in action or attitude—all of these can rob us of power.

Let us continue to depend on our God through faith and prayers so that His “far above all” power works above all that we ask or think!
