For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5
In Our life, we often go through several cycles. In these cycles, we may have rock-bottom experiences. In these experiences, we may weep, but if we add prayer, that will convert to praise and worship (prayer to praise and weeping to worship).
Today’s verse is based on King David’s experience. In his weak times, when he committed mistakes, as soon as he realized and repented, God has shown mercy towards him. With that experience, he said, “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life.”
When he went through many troubles, he knew that as God was in control, weeping may endure for a night, and joy comes in the morning.
What is your response in your weak and troubled times? Do you feel God is angry at you? Without worry, turn towards God and pray. Not only does God turn weeping to joy in this earthly life, but if you trust in Jesus, the bigger promise is, no more weeping or crying in after life, for the former things are passed away. Behold, God makes everything new!
