The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

High & Exalted

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of success, recognition, and worldly achievements. Society often teaches us that pride and self-promotion are the keys to succeeding. People take pride in friendships with politicians, bureaucrats, and corporate officials.

However, as followers of Christ, we are called to humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord so that He will lift us up.

But what does it mean for God to lift us up? It means He honors our humility and responds with His loving care, support, and favor. God doesn’t lift us up to promote our ego or fulfill our selfish desires but to elevate us to a higher level of spiritual understanding and fulfillment.

Imagine a tiny seed planted in the ground. It remains hidden and unnoticed, seemingly insignificant. But as it humbly receives the nourishment of the soil, it grows into a magnificent tree, reaching towards the heavens and bearing abundant fruit. Likewise, when we humble ourselves before God, He transforms our lives into something beautiful and fruitful, far beyond what we could achieve on our own.
