The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

FEAR OF THE LORD

All men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; For they shall wisely consider His doing. Ps. 64:9

Psalm 64:9 speaks of the fear of God and the recognition of His work. It emphasizes the importance of wisely considering and acknowledging God’s actions.

In our journey of faith, having a reverent fear of God is crucial. This fear does not imply being afraid but rather having deep respect, awe, and reverence for the Almighty. When we fear God, we recognize His sovereignty, holiness, and power. It helps us to surrender before Him.

Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge (Prov. 9:10), and hatred of evil (Prov. 8:13), and it leads to the fountain of life (Prov. 14:27). Jesus Christ is the fountain of life. He humbled himself, came down, and died on the cross to give life for you and me.

Declaring indicates telling the work of God, His goodness and faithfulness, and sharing our experiences with others. We testify of His transformative power, grace, and mercy. Our testimonies can inspire and encourage others to seek God and experience His work. May the fear of God lead us to a deeper reverence, surrender, and declaration of His mighty deeds.
