Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Psalm 103:1
In this Psalm, David exhorts his soul to praise God and lists out all the benefits trying not to forget any in his life. David lists out the highlights: forgiveness of sins, justification, redemption from destruction, encompassment with loving kindness and tender mercies, satisfaction through the fullness of goodness, and comfort. He blesses the Lord and worships him remembering the attributes of God and his acts.
The Lord has blessed us with eternal blessings. He has done so much for us. He has led and guided us to this point in our lives. He deserves our whole-hearted praise. He deserves praise from our entire being- soul, body, and mind. We can praise God today for his faithfulness throughout our lives. From the day we were born and right until now – every blessing and good gift. He has first and foremost given us the (free) gift of Salvation which we must be eternally grateful for. He has given us physical, spiritual, and material blessings for which we can be thankful. Let us remember his qualities and attributes that he has revealed to each one of us. He is righteous, holy, good, merciful, gracious, loving, kind, just, faithful, and so much more! To each one of us, he manifests a different quality at different stages of our lives. Let us remember all his qualities and give him praise today!
