Jul 26th, 2023:
For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. 1 Cor 14:33
We often feel peacelessness and anxiety in our hearts. There are restless and tumultuous moments in our lives, where we question every decision that led up to that point in our lives. We see the winds of temptation and the waves of distress going to overtake us soon and we begin to sink. We are confused as to what we’re doing, and what others do and question what’s the right thing to do.
Confusion is a weapon of the enemy to start doubting- whatever the circumstances in our life. In a personal context, within your self- it is self-doubt, fear, lack of perspective and understanding. In a social context, confusion lies where there is selfishness, envy, and pride (Jam 3:16).
Our God being a God of peace, endeavors to keep us united in spirit with each other and grants peace to our hearts. When we seek peace and pursue it, we find God’s will in our lives and do it. We find God’s purpose for us among others and serve him (and the others). He is the only one who can calm the storm in your life and can bring peace. A peace out of disorder, out of chaos and out of confusion. And although the winds, waves, and the storm rages- your soul will be still, as if he’s leading you in still waters.
Prayer: Lord, lead me to a place of shalom peace, where I’m complete and whole in you. Amen.
