Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever – Psalms 136:1
Thanksgiving should be the virtue of all believers. Worldly people never thank God and they don’t even have sense of God. They think everything happens by law of time and chance or luck. However, Bible teaches us to be thankful in all situations.
In scripture we can learn from the character of David, how to be thankful in all situations. In Psalms, we see David thanked God in good times as well in bad times. Even when he committed sin he relied upon the mercies of God. He never depended upon his power, wealth or on his chariots.
These great men of God are forerunners, and we can learn from their lives and apply those principles in our day-to-day life to escape the snare of the enemy. Scriptures say to rejoice always and in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Finally, brethren, whatever is concerning you right now, take it to the Lord in Prayer with thanksgiving. He will never let the godly person stumble – Psalms 55:22
Prayer: Father God, thank you for all your provisions and for the breath of life. According to your mercies lead me and guide me. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
