Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it. Job 35:13
Let us examine our hearts, correct our thoughts, and make our prayers effective!
Job 35:13 states, “Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.”
Throughout life’s journey, we face many challenges and difficulties, which can often leave us feeling helpless and overwhelmed. In such moments, it becomes easy for us to cry out to God in desperation, hoping that He will hear us and answer our prayers.
However, we must remember that God does not hear empty cries. He is not swayed by superficial words or meaningless pleas. He desires for us to approach Him with sincerity and humility, acknowledging our weakness and reliance on Him.
Job 35:13 reminds us, “Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.” We cannot merely offer hollow prayers and anticipate God’s intervention. It is essential for us to approach Him with hearts that are open and receptive to His will, ready to listen and obey.
Nevertheless, even in our weakness, we can find comfort in the promise of Philippians 4:6-7, which encourages us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Today, let’s begin our day by sincerely and humbly approaching God, acknowledging that He sees, hears, and cares for us. In doing so, we can be confident that He will answer our prayers according to His will, bringing peace, comfort, and hope into our lives. Through us, He will extend goodness to all those around us.
As we start our day, let’s remind ourselves that our prayers are most effective when they are sincere and align with God’s will. May we approach our day with purity, humility, and putting our trust in His plan, and seeking His wisdom in every decision we make and every action taken.
Promise: “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will He hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.”
Prayer: Dear Lord, our Heavenly Father, our mighty and wonderful God, we come before you with humble hearts, seeking your mercy and grace. We recognize that you are the Almighty God, who hears the cries of the righteous and the sincere prayers of your people. Your Word, as stated in Job 35:13, reminds us that you do not heed an empty cry, but rather listen to the voice of those who approach you in sincerity and truth.
We thank you, Lord, for the great promise in 1 John 5:14-15, that if we ask anything according to your will, you hear us and will grant our requests. We come to you now, Father, asking for wisdom, guidance, and discernment in everything we do. May Your Holy Spirit fill us and lead us into righteousness as we strive to live a life that pleases you.
We pray, Lord, for your divine intervention in the difficult situations that we face in our lives. You know the deepest desires of our hearts, and we trust in your providence to guide and protect us from harm. Help us to approach you with humility and complete surrender, trusting that you know what is best for us.
We lift up our needs to you today, dear Lord, and we ask for your intervention. We know that you hear us, and we trust in your loving care. In Jesus’ Holy Name we pray, Amen.
Have a blessed day!
