I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. 2 Samuel 22:4
The original meaning of this phrase – call upon His Name means to specifically call Him by His name Jehovah, the name above all names. In victory, David sang praises to the Lord who delivered him from his enemies. When the waves of death swirled around him, when torrents of destruction overwhelmed him, when the cords of the grave coiled around him, when snares of death confronted him, David, while he was still fighting in the battle, called upon the name of the Lord. He relied on God to save him from his enemies instead of his own strength.
Today if you are going through any challenge remember to call upon the name of the Lord as David did. Indeed the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
