In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul. Psalms 94:19
Anxiety has 3 main components:
Feelings of fear and dread is considered as an emotional component.
Feelings of bodily sensations, such as heart palpitations, sweating as a physiological component.
Finally, worries and negative thoughts about what might happen in the future are the cognitive component.
As believers of Christ, the immediate reaction to anxiety is to kneel and pray as the verse says – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”.
Our mighty God is well able to deliver us from all kinds of anxieties and make all things beautiful in His time. Thereupon His comfort shall delight our soul.
