Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Isa. 7:14
The meaning of a prophecy is “prediction”. A Biblical prophecy is a message that is claimed by a prophet to have been communicated by God. Today’s verse talks about a prophecy, which was written several hundreds of years before Jesus was born. This contains a sign and a name. The sign is, that the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, when this happens, He shall be named as “Immanuel” (meaning “God with us”).
If an Ant is going in the wrong way, to communicate the right way, we need to become an Ant. Likewise, As humans were going in the wrong way (way to hell), to communicate the right way (way to heaven), God stepped down into this world and took the human form. God, being Almighty, humbled Himself and became a human being. Let us give thanks to our Immanuel God, whose fellowship is always with us and wherever we go.
