The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. Ex. 14:14
The Lord had rescued Israel from their slavery in Egypt and brought them out with a lot of wealth, but when they saw the Egyptian army their hearts failed because of fear. Instead of holding fast to the promise that God would take them safely into the land, they looked at the problems that were surrounding them.
We need to have confidence in the LORD’s faithfulness that He will fight for us and deliver us from all our enemies. Let us never forget that the challenges we face in life are important opportunities for our faith to grow and to glorify God.
When we discover ourselves to be hedged by problems, let us not register unbelief in our hearts but trust in the word of God and rest peacefully.
