Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it – Psalms 34:14
As children of God, we need to live with high integrity. We should not follow the patterns of the world. Even in small things, we need to be very careful because we are accountable to God. Bible says to subject to governing authority, obey the law of the land and need to be good citizens. For proper vertical relationship with God, we need to maintain the horizontal relationship with fellow people properly.
As believer we should not only be the hearers of the word but doers of the word. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” – James 2:26. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God – Hebrews 13:16
Also, as children of God we need to be in peace with our neighbor. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” – Matthew 5:9
Prayer: Father God, equip us to do good works. Help us to be the peacemakers. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
