The eternal God is a dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms – Deut 33:27
This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced on the Israelites before his death. Man can’t live without God. Man needs a refuge. Refuge from sin (lust of flesh, lust of eye and pride of life) and coming wrath of God. People who don’t believe in God are like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.
“Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place-the Most High, who is my refuge no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. —Psalm 91:9-10“. When God is our dwelling place, we are completely protected under his everlasting arms. The arm is the symbol of strength and deliverance. “I will redeem you with an outstretched arm." (Exodus 6:6). God’s arms are always ready to defend us.
David who was a Great man of God always relied on God. He likes to dwell in the presence of the Lord. “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple” – Psalms 27:4.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for protecting us in all ways. Help us to take refuge under your wings not only during times of trouble but always. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!
