The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Calling upon who has power to save

Psalm 18:3 “I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.”
Calling upon who is worthy of calling upon. Praising the one who is worthy of all praises. Faithfully receiving protection and being saved from adversary. In this verse the joyful poet resolves to invoke the Lord in joyful song, believing that his God would deal in all current and future conflicts. He has done it for him in the past and he is affirmed that He will do in future as well. He has shown that it is well to pray to God as to one who deserves all praises, for then we plead in a happy and confident manner. Always praise God and bless the Lord for all His past goodness, I am bold to ask great things of Him. Many are saved from mourning and doubting; but David had such faith that he could fight singing, and win the battle with a song still upon his lips. How happy a thing to receive fresh mercy with a heart already sensible of mercy enjoyed, and to anticipate new trials with a confidence based upon past experiences of divine love! So we must not be discouraged or dismayed, because we have a God the creator of this universe on our side nothing can harm us take away our joy we have in Him. May the Lord be with all of us throughout our day and we will continue our day praising Him and with His power we defeat our enemy.
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father mighty wonderful God, Lord, thank you for all what you have done and what you are doing and will do for me, my household, my community, this nation and to whole human race. You have saved us from the bottomless pit and brought us near to you so we can receive all what you have for us. With this confidence I step in to a whole new day knowing that you have overcome this world for me Lord. In Jesus’s Holy name I pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
