But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us… Eph. 2:4
"But GOD", for sinners like us who were lost in trespasses and unable to save ourselves, there may not be two more hopeful words that we could utter than these.
The love of God is "unconditional", "unchangeable" and "unending". We are not worthy of it but by the characteristic of God, He demonstrated mercy and kindness towards us so that we may live with Him in eternity.
Prayer: Loving and Merciful Father, Thank you for showing your "rich mercies" and "great love" towards us and sending your only Son Jesus Christ to save us when we were dead in nature and sinful in practices. Amen!
