The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

The Great I AM

…I AM WHO I AM…Exodus 3:14

Moses had a greater future responsibility of delivering Israelites from Egypt when God called him in Exodus 3. Moses was a man who, like us, possessed both weakness and strengths. Therefore God reminded Moses of His covenant promise that he made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and used the name I AM to show His unchanging nature. Yahweh is derived from the Hebrew word for “I AM”.

God has a greater purpose for us too. His thoughts for our lives are higher than our thoughts. When He directs you to do something – it might be sharing gospel, helping the needy, moving your location of stay or he is asking you to stand still or wait patiently for His direction, then in all this remember that He is I AM God. His wisdom spans ages and his promises give meaning and direction to our lives. Obey Him and follow His directions.
