Love is referred to as Agape in Greek. God’s Agape love is unmerited, gracious, constantly seeking the benefit of the ones He loves, unconditional, unfailing. God does not merely love but His nature itself is love. He loves us not because we deserve to be loved but because of His nature. Whatever He does for us flows from his love. Out of man's wickedness and repeated sins even after several rebukes, God might afflict and hide His face from them anticipating their return. Still He never fails to love them. Indeed out of Love He will bless and multiply them.
