If you love Me, you will keep My commandments (John 14:15)
Veljko Rogošić (Croatia) holds the Guinness World Records for the longest distance (225 km or 139.8 miles) ever swum without flippers in the open sea. The attempt took him 50 hours 10 mins. Like Veljko, there are so many people who crossed lakes, rivers, and seas. How come they did it? It’s just because they love water and swimming. And probably they are conscious about their physical health as well.
In today’s verse, Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” If we genuinely love Jesus and genuinely care about your Spiritual health, we will follow His commandments. When you love someone, you will honor them, and you will go to any extent to follow them. Instead of falling in love with earthly items, let us love with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength so that His commandments are not burdensome.
