God is love. And all His commandments are a reflection of his perfect character.
Jesus kept God’s commandments perfectly till the point of His death, which is an expression of His love for His Heavenly Father. And He wants us also to live the way He did, which is possible for us to attain only by the Spirit dwelling in us, not by flesh.
According to the new covenant of grace, when we are born again, He would put His laws on our hearts and write in our minds. This is God’s love towards us, that would enable us to keep His commandments in Spirit and in truth.
Let us plead God that he would fill our hearts with His love, that obeying His commandments would not be burdensome, but we might rejoice in keeping them, henceforth, expressing our love for God.
