The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

The LORD is my strength and my song!

The God who girds me with strength, and makes my way blameless? Psalm 18:32

Psalm 18 is the song of David on the day when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. David expresses his love towards the LORD and acknowledges that it was God who armed him with strength in each of his battles. God strengthened him from the pasture full of sheep to the battlefield of soldiers. God made his feet like the feet of deer, to set him on high places; God taught his hands to make war to bend a bow of bronze. David’s enemies were too strong for him, but by God’s strength, he beat them as fine as the dust and cast them out like dirt in the streets. The LORD made David’s path perfectly plain, smooth, cleared every impediment. God does not promise to eliminate challenges; instead, he promises to give us strength to meet those challenges. If he gave us no rough roads to walk, no mountains to climb, and no battles to fight, we would not grow. He does not leave us alone with our challenges, instead, He stands beside us, teaches us, and strengthens us to face them.

He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.
