This verse shows the passion that David had for the house of God. He was very glad when people said let us go to the house of the Lord. I believe David liked the physical gathering and corporate worship along with God’s people.
Physical gathering and corporate worship are very important. It is mentioned in Hebrews 10:25(CEV) that Some have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. Certainly, many have suffered in multiple ways in recent times—physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually during these pandemic days so when we all gather in the house of the Lord there is Joy and healing to our souls.
Like David let us all have a passion and desire to worship the Lord with the fellow believers so that it will be edifying for everyone. When we are alone, Satan can easily deceive us. Above all Samuel had an encounter with God in the house of the Lord.
Prayer: Father God, give me the desire to seek you earnestly and to be found in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
