The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Planted at right place.

Jeremiah 17:8

“He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

‭‭

“Tree Planted By The Water” here, the tree and water is used as a metaphor. A tree is a person, and water is the award of almighty God.

Do you liked to be filled with life? If yes, then you must plant yourself near the true source of life.

Trust in man and the worship of idols has its devastating rewards, but faith in the Lord and His precious promises produces the fruit of righteousness.

Blessed is the one who’s confident hope is in the Lord, for he will be like a tree planted by the rivers of living water – that extends its roots into His life-giving streams. That man or woman will not fear when problems and life’s difficulties arise but will hope in the Lord for strength and deliverance. They will not be anxious in a year of drought, nor will they cease to yield fruit, more fruit – much fruit, to the glory of God and their eternal benefit.

Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet for he not only warned Israel that disobedience towards the Lord would result in their dispersion amongst the nations, but he was also one who warned of Judah’s final downfall and witnessed its devastating destruction – and he wept bitterly, as he watched the Presence of God withdraw from the Temple of the Lord.

Nevertheless, there is a message of hope and a promise of restoration in Jeremiah’s challenging message to Judah – a message of hope for all who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour – that even when we are faithless He remains faithful, and that when we are weak and fail Him, He remains strong and His love and grace towards us is never changing – great is His faithfulness.

Trust on the Lord, keep yourself near to the living waters, be always receiving all your needs, and bear fruits at the due season.

Promise: “But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Prayer: Dear Lord, Heavenly Father mighty wonderful God. Lord, thank You, Lord, that in the midst of all life’s difficulties and problems, You are my Rock and my Redeemer – my Source and my Supply. Thank You that in Christ I have all I need to stand firm in this evil day. Thank You that Christ is my health, my strength, and the stronghold of my life. I pray that no matter what difficulties arise, that I would draw all my hope and strength from You so that I may stand fast in the evil day. I pray that I would live a life that honors You and that I would bear much fruit to Your praise and glory. Help me, oh Lord, so I can answer all my worries by meditating, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Trusting You alone in all my doing. In Jesus’s Holy name I pray Amen.

Have a blessed day!
