1 Peter 5:7. “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
We all wants immediate results, here we pray and the next moment we expect the answer of our prayers. But He who created us knows what is best for us, and when is the right time for our prayers to be answered.
Hypocritically often we advise others, that they don’t have to be anxious about anything, but inside ourselves, we know that when we get into tough situations we understand that casting all of our worries on God is easy to say but hard to follow. What often happens is that we become more anxious over all the difficulties of our lives that are crowding in and on us, and eventually, we turn our thoughts to helpless attitudes, and some may fall into depression. And when we are out of all options we either blame God and forget that we left Him behind us and put our logic before Him. We forget that His wonders start with our life.
So let’s not expect a magic, instead wait for our miracle, let’s not be anxious about the provision of life and the needs of the home, nor to fret over the actions and attitudes of people around us, who seem to encompass from every side, for we know and believe that the day is coming when evildoers will wither away like the grass of the field, we must remind ourselves about His Word and carefully let His Words teach us to trust Him and let us dwell securely, under the shadow of His wings, put our prayer in His presence by praising Him with thanksgiving in all circumstances.
Casting all our worries and anxious thoughts on Him before we start to fret. Reaching out to Him in our helplessness before trying to sort things out by ourselves, for He who created us has promised us to be our helper in time of all our troubles and meet all our needs now and forever. Thank Him for being such a faithful God and provider.
The true attitude of continuous thankfulness is what He wants us reflect, for ourselves and for all other we are surrounded by. Say “Praise the Lord” not just by our lips but from the depth of our hearts. Because by saying that you show your full dependence on Him and submission to His will and His timing.
Promise: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father mighty wonderful God. Lord, I don’t want to be anxious about anything, knowing that I can cast all of my anxious thoughts on You, but how difficult I find it to cast all my cares on You before I start to worry. What often happens is that I become more and more anxious over all the difficulties of life that are crowding in on me, and eventually I turn my thoughts to You and reach out to You in my helplessness.
Lord, in my understanding of Who You are I know that You are always my Rock in times of troubles and I have seen You help in time of need, but very rarely do You act in the way that I expect!
Lord, I know that I am not to be anxious about the provision of life and the needs of the home, nor am I to fret over the actions and attitudes of evildoers, who seem to encompass me on every side, for I know and believe that the day is coming when evildoers will wither away like the grass of the field, as Your Word teaches, while those that trust in the Lord will dwell securely, under the shadow of Your wings.
Help me Lord to cast my anxious thoughts on You before I start to fret. Help me to reach out to You in my helplessness before I try to sort things out myself, for You have promised to be my help in time of trouble. Thank You for being such a faithful God. In Jesus’s Holy Name, I pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
