The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Thankful to The GOD

I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart;

I will tell of all Your marvelous works. –  Psalms 9:1

Above verse is King David's praise seems focused on Israel's victory over other nations who had attacked them (Psalm 9:3–6). The reference to whole-hearted thankfulness previews is Jesus’s indication of the most important commandment (Matthew 22:34–40), also found in “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. “(Deuteronomy 6:5.)

The practice of crediting the Lord with victory, not himself, was a consistent theme in David's life. When he was just a youth, he battled Goliath, the Philistine giant, and won against him. He gave credit to the Lord GOD. The same Lord gives victory to His people today also. Paul writes: “We are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (Romans 8:37).

Are we following King David’s footsteps in the above respect? Question ourselves.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the life you have given me and all your blessings so far in my life till today. Also, thank you for giving assurance that righteous men and women would live because of our faith. I may live every day of my life by faith, by trusting in You, and not relying on my own strength or abilities. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
