The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Good GOD

Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good;
Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.
Psa 135:3

The above verse is the hymn of praise of GOD. The author urges the worshipers to praise GOD because he has chosen the nation Israel to be his people. God’s choice of Israel is particularly significant because anything God does is deliberate.

Our duty is to praise the GOD, to praise his name and praise him again and again tirelessly. We must not only thank him for what he has done for us but praise him for what he is in himself and has done for others; take all occasions to speak well of God and to give his truths and ways a good word.

The reason to praise him is- he is good to all, and we must give him the praise of that. His goodness is his glory, and we must make mention of it to His glory.

In singing this psalm our hearts must be filled with joy, as well as our mouths, with the high praises of God.

Shall we praise him together with full of joy?

 Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You today for the gift of praise. Thank you for revealing Yourself to me through Your Word, by Your Spirit, and in Your creation, that I might stand in awe of You. You alone are worthy of praise and glory and honor, for You have created all things. In the name of Jesus, Amen
