The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Waited For GOD

This is our God; We have waited for Him;
We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation
-Isa 25:9

The above verse is taken from the 25th chapter which can be described as a song, a song of three stanzas. The first stanza (verse. 1-5) is praise to God for deliverance from all enemies. The second stanza (
verse. 6-8) is praise for provision for present needs. And the third stanza (
verse. 9-12) is praise in anticipation of future joys.

As per the third stanza, On that day, when the believing remnant is delivered and Messiah rules as King over the entire earth, the saved ones will rejoice in the Lord and reaffirm their trust in Him. They would see the miraculous hand of God in delivering Jerusalem from the Assyrians. If God can deliver a city from certain destruction, He can – and will – deliver His people all around the world from the rampant wickedness of the last days.

The Old Testament saints waited for his first coming, and for his salvation. Now, we are waiting for his second coming.

 Prayer: Heavenly Father, we rejoice in our salvation and the blessed hope of Christ's soon return. Thank You for the faithful promises that You have made to us. Renew our joy and faith in believing and may we wait in joyful anticipation for Christ's any day return. In the name of Jesus, Amen
