The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

You gave a word

My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips. Psa. 89:34

“You gave me your word to help financially, but you failed!”

“You gave me your word to take me to vacation, but you failed!”

“You gave me your word to clean your room, but you failed!”

These are statements we hear when someone doesn’t keep their word. “I was just kidding” or “don’t take me literally” is the answer we get in return. Being as humans, we break promises and alter the word that comes out of our lips.

But our God is not like that. Whenever our God promises something, he is able, capable, and willing to fulfill the promise. Not a single word that came out of God’s mouth has failed.

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? (Num 23:19)

Whom are we relying upon when a problem occurs? Except for God, people, system, money, or property cannot fulfill their promises. Let us all cling to God as He is our promise giver and keeper!
