“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” – James 5:16
Elijah was a frail human just like us, but when he prayed, there was no rain in Israel for 3 years. The people of Israel under Ahab’s leadership sinned against God by worshiping Baal. Elijah’s prayers were his efforts to lead the people of Israel back to the true God and he was successful.
As we pray for the salvation of the nation we live in, as well as the nations we were born in, let us pray fervently like Elijah.
God will hear our prayers when:
o We pray in accordance to His will
o We repent of our sins and humble ourselves before Him
o We pray with confident trust in Him
Let us never stop praying, for God hears our prayers and will answer in His time, in accordance to His will!
“To get nations back on their feet, we must first get down on our knees” – Billy Graham
