The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness, You will sustain him on his sickbed. Ps. 41.3
King David on his sickbed, recognized the need of healing not only from his physical sickness but also for his soul. He was wounded and hurt emotionally because of the insults and betrayal from his enemies. He looked to the Lord for his healing. He approached God to seek mercy and help by confessing his sins. He believed that God alone could heal his body, soul, and spirit.
The spiritual disease of a believer is more dangerous than the physical disease. The unconfessed sins become huge blockers hindering spiritual growth. Lord Jesus Christ, died for us so that we can be delivered from our sins and diseases. May the Lord help us to confess our sins before the Lord and plead for His mercy and grace that we may be totally healed of all our sicknesses, that we may live a spiritually healthy life.
